Project Description

Savannah, GA – View Their Website

WET Engineering contracted with the fountain contractor to provide design and permitting services for this new feature for a renovation to one of the City of Savannah’s historic squares. The 800 sf interactive fountain consisted of an array of in-ground jets with LED lighting. The jets can be sequenced by a central controller. It was constructed on a raised paver system with the reservoir located beneath. The recirculation and feature pump draw water from the reservoir. All equipment is housed in a self-contained vault.

WET Engineering handled coordination and production of complete construction drawings including civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural plans. The fountain manufacturer’s plans were reviewed by WET Engineering and integrated with the construction set. Permitting was done through the Chatham County Environmental Health Department. WET Engineering assisted the reviewers with ensuring the project would meet state codes, which do not contain pertinent requirements for interactive water features. The fountain opened in spring 2010.

Matt Boyd

Director of Operations, Whale’s Tale Waterpark

We were looking to install ProSlide's very first RideHouse and needed an engineer who could design a drainage and supply water plan as well as a mechanical room. We heard about the problems other parks had with similar structures, and couldn't be happier about our choice to go with WET Engineering. They were there for support during the build process and the system works without a flaw.
