At the Gulf Islands Waterpark, a six lane mat racer slide was added to the existing park. Water supply for the slide is taken from the existing slow river and pumped to the slide start. The owners also desired to increase their skimming ability in the river. A new skimmer was added to the river wall to accommodate the slide flow and some additional flow which is sent through high rate sand filtration then returned to the river through a water spray. Slide water returns to the river by gravity from the slide runout sump.
